oog..

last night was.. interesting. in the alcohol fueled sense of the word, anyway. after a week or so of planning, we were able to liberate some booze to celebrate the end of exams, and... yeah. things went on from there. drunken-ness happened, but unfortunately sleep didn't so i feel "tired" to put it lightly. gonna go to bed now...

June 25, 2005

*poke*

yay, stuff. today. saturday? yeah. karate, uh.. home.. uh.. yup. read an.. interesting book last night. called twelve. based in america, and about drugs and stuff. teenagers and drugs and stuff. there was a mass slaughter at the end which was.. rather depressing, even if most of the people killed were drug dealers and drug.. takers.. and not particularly pleasant people, but there were some.. innocents is the wrong word. it was quite good, in some ways. there's this quote from it..

"Can we please have a moment of silence for those who died. And now, could we have a moment of silence for those who killed them."

i think thats rather.. i dunno. can't think of the right word. anyway. started this sort of game thing, NationStates. it's sort of about politics. you start your own nation and make political decisions, such as should voting be compulsory or whatever, and depending on the choices you make, your nation turns out differently. i think it's interesting that the top 9 nations are psychotic dictatorships.... anyway. thanks to simon for finding it as it's proving interesting.
you can view my nation, the Republic of Onimea, here

i guess i'll post simon and tom's nations too.. The Holy Empire of Smin0 and the Grand Duchy of Kazenone

thats me out

Blech

my mouth feels blech. hmm.. or possibly mneh. i'm not sure. unpleasant, anyway.

CRUSH ALL HU-MANS!

that is all

Whee?

well, today was wet. and with book handing.. in.. ness? yup. while i may have been wet, i got buttered popcorn once i got home so it was all good. and stuff. there was thunder. there was lightning! and as long as you don't see the flash and hear the thunder at the same time you havn't been hit by the lightning, 'kay?

um.. yeah

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!

bugger. tomorrow have to hand in my textbooks, or results will be withheld at.. result giving out time. and i CAN'T FIND MY FSCKING PHYSICS OR ICT BOOKS!!!!! ...nuts. the 'rents are going to have to fork out moneys. as well as missing some books, some unexpected textbooks have turned up. i found THREE biology and THREE chemistry textbooks when i was only expecting one.. of each.. anyway. stuff and things and so forth.

June 22, 2005

nuts...

are we, we are, are we, we are the bored out of our skulls!

there's no emoticon for what i'm feeling! oh wait, yes there is

after a very brief search to actually determine the meaning of that emoticon simon always uses [ \o/ by the way ] i discovered some interesting info AND some interesting emoticons. gonna have some down the screen there, some i knew already but just like anyhow.. so yeah. my search involved typing "define: \o/" into google and getting a wikipedia deely. i was looking at it in the wrong way.. but now i know so yeah...

here are some for your viewing pleasure. if you don't know what one/MANY of em mean feel free to ask.

(-_-)y-~ (=_=) ((-_-)) (¬_¬) m(__)m (‘~’) (._.) (;_;) (o_O) (>_0) (^_-) o(^_-)0 ^_^;

In other news, *I* have only three exams left. physics [1:30] chemistry [0:45] and physics [0:45] so after next monday i'll have nothing to do but dread the results! woo!

the brain is melting my heat! I properly sentences cannot form!

it is, in fact, too hot to do anything. but did that stop us, god no. come in at 9:00 for a 45 minute exam and then not get home till gone 6. that was due to karate. which was at 3:35 anyway, so we had lots of time to waste. went to that LAN gaming place, but only alex, dave and jonny played as i didn't want to... and after a while.. like a few hours.. we wandered off to tescos.

I decided to buy a six pack of tesco value sugar free cola, (I blame the heat) which is an abomination in the eyes of all that is good and does not DESERVE to even PRETEND to be called cola. i didn't even finish one can, and we chucked them about a bit to make em explode.

karate was tiring but good. apparantly i'm getting better, which is good.

try not to melt onto your keyboard too much over there old chap.

Shinies

so, alteration of template has happened. can't seem to change the damn green colour of the blog titles though... enjoy the nice shiny new improved changamajigs anyway

June 18, 2005

our sarcasm has melted away

today was quite a good day. alarm went off at 10, had to get outta bed for karate, so yeah. the 'rents didn't want me to take my bike cos of the frigging heatwave happening outside. about that, DAMN it was hot... like.. sweltering heat.. ow..

anyway, i got a lift into karate and then that happened, 'twas good. mark is now annoyed at simon and ellis, because they told him off for not going on thursday, then.. didn't come on saturday.. i beleive they were/are at the greenday concert. speaking of THAT, my dad found out about the whole fact that they're having a concert the other day, and got annoyed that i hadn't told him about it. says he woulda got tickets. oh well.

aaaaaaafter that... um.. yeah. heat... so.. yeah.. 'kay. well. i also went SWIMMING today for the first time in like, years. or year. or somthing like that.

somthing else happened too.. but 'tis a secret so :p

Not so civil war

today someone in my lower body decided it would be a good idea to overthrow the powers that be in the brain, so they mustered as many people from the gut as they could and launched a full assault in the stomach.
the people up top didn't appreciate this after all the hard work they'd been through coping with these exams, especially with the rest of the body slacking off and slothing about, so they decided to lower morale by doing TWO HOURS of KARATE while all the fighting was going on below. the propaganda attempt failed, and the guys in charge eventually had to send in the armed forces with tranquiliser guns to make sure that no more civillians got injured.
after the heavy losses the rebellion took, they decided it would be best to overthrow the brain by political means, so they're just laying in wait at the moment. luckily they're not so hot on thinking so it's unlikely they'll manage to ursurp the big guy.

in short, i felt ill today. it hurt. i then did karate. bad idea. painkillers were taken. AFTER the karate and a long slow walk home, however.

um. what else. uh... uh... don't do drugs. THIS IS NOT A TEST. chia

June 15, 2005

Stuffs

exams today were mehish, maths then geography. so far i reckon i've done best on the maths papers, but.. yeah. that might just be cos with maths you can get a difinitive "right" answer like 3.141 or somthing, where with other subjects its much broader... and stuff... as the first row of people were dismissed to leave the maths exam, someone sitting down wolf whistled. we got held back for about FORTY minutes. ouch. it's still undetermined who it was, but meh.

um. can't think of anything else to say, so... go.. take a walk or somthing

June 14, 2005

And thus they declared that it was Pie, and that Pie was good

it's official. jonny has become a comedian. now we know where he was over half term, he was taking comedian classes! or.. he wasn't. 'twas funny anyhow.

Michael Jackson has been found not guilty on all charges, but as far as i can tell, most people who weren't avid fans of his don't really beleive he's guiltless. personally, i'm not sure, he may just be a very odd person. true story.

got me a copy of Weezer's Make Beleive album, which is good. aaaand the father bought the Gorrilaz' Demon Days and Green Day's Warning album. all sound pretty good. remember, WE ARE ALL ON DRUGS

June 13, 2005

hi'lo

today i woke up, some crazy stuff happened and then i went to bed.

amen

June 11, 2005

v_v

feh. you know, i could just write feh and leave it at that...

in fact, i will

okay, not really. but shut up anyway

firdays english paper sparked off quite a bit of discussion.. everyone seems to think that the human race is a slave to technology, or as the questions put it "personal stereos, computers and mobile phones" i disagree. some people have also said on their blogs that their blogs are proof of this. first of all... um.. how? their existance proves that people are bored and entertain themselves using technology because it's there. it doesn't control our lives.

the other essay question asked why we should hope for the future, and most people don't seem to think we should. and i thought I was a pessimist... god.. without hope no one would have any motivation to do anything. without hope, people would just give up and DIE for gods sake.
i was also annoyed by some other things too. some people, and i'm not going to mention any names, presume too much and also think they know more than they do.

on a final note, i was also annoyed at the amount of people who i've heard talking about burning their copies of empire of the sun, or claiming to have done so already. this quote *I* have taken from mrs venning, i have no idea who it's originally from: "Those who start by burning books, will finish by burning people" thats not the only reason i disagree with it, and people may be burning their books for different reasons, but books are part of what civilisation IS. destroying them... destroying any book.. well... it just seems wrong to me.

June 10, 2005

I'm pretty sure i exist at least half the time

yellow! havn't posted in a while so yeah. exams are going by with various degrees of success, or.. presumed success anyway. since the last post i have joined the online game x-kings which is and i quote:

"an exciting turn-based massively multiplayer online game. It is played
using a simple web browser"

X-kings

this link will bring you to the sign up deely, and if you join this way, basically whenever either of us logs in we get stuff. so yeah.

in other news, i also joined deviantART and have some.. plans. most/all of what i post there will be CGI/poetry cos i can't really DRAW as such. that can be found at deviantART

in even more other news, been reading more of the "Chronicles of the Raven" books. have yet to read the first.. still.. stupid library. but they're good anyway, so i would suggest em. gotta head to school for my exam now so until nect time, chia!!!!eleven!!!!1!!

June 05, 2005

...sleepy...

hey. been more tired than usual, cos i've not been able to get even the amount of sleep *I* would normally get. not good for the exams tomorrow..

being bored last night, I looked at some links at various sites. following a link from Real Life I clicked on one entitled "Swords Online". found an online shop for things such as swords and stuff. loads of the swords are quite cheap, but you have to pay for shipping.. from the US, thats rather expensive. it works out as somthing like 5 times the cost of the sword... :s

showed tom, and he started going on about katanas and stuff. i'd much prefer a sword like THIS
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

katanas are overrated.. but this looks cool.

so yeah... later

'lo

so, um. yeah. Guild wars came, i've played it and it is indeed quite good so far. however, in comparison with FFXI, i think i'd have to say FFXI wins out as the better MMORPG so far. let me see.. some obvious points which make FF11 better:
*Guild Wars lags terribly in towns and outposts due to the humungous amount of people
*Guild Wars is also rather slow movement wise
*When changing area in Guild Wars, it takes a long time to load. a long, long time.
*FF11 has, I think, significantly better graphics
*There (seems to be) no form of Auction House in Guild Wars

There are some good points that Guild Wars has about the gameplay, but i can't think of them right now >_< I'll post some later, maybe. one thing is.. it sort of reminds me of runescape. that isn't really a good thing. i don't know in what way i mean that, but probably the environment.

Found the Oni kanji by accident, so I spent a little while finding the Yama one. (yes, i knew what they looked like before) 山(Yama)鬼(Oni) -山鬼

Tom found Kaze no ne too.. with some difficulty. i'm a helper ^_^

Yo d00dz

I'm all alone.. ok, it's not that big a deal, my siblings and mother have gone out to some holiday park place for the day.

doo dee doo... in an advance of my complaing about teh library the other day, i did get a book out. one of three in the "Chronicles of The Raven" but hey, it turned out it was the THIRD one. it was good anyway. and since it was based 5 years after the second, it wasn't midway through a plot or anything. gonna have to read the first two x_x

mister Richardo Gillis has started a web site. about classical music. it has already initiated an argument or two. http://spaces.msn.com/members/classicalmusicrox

'lo. been working on this here image deely in MS paint and Paintshop pro, cos of.. i can :p

..yup. what else. (Hmmm.) well, alex's site seems to have been temporarily overtaken by sammi because he's awol.. now with even pinker text!

..uh.. oh, i went into town, deposited some moneys, and went to the library stupid library.. i was looking for a good book to read, and found quite a few series' that looked ok, but the library has copies of all the books EXCEPT for the first one in the series... um.. stupid much? bloody.. mutter.. ramble.. etc

anyhoo. i'd deposited moneys so i could order Guild Wars, which me, andy and armstrong are getting. MMORPG with no monthly fee, yo. eat THAT on toast. plus, from www.play.com it's only £17.99 so woo.

Toms getting lots of gil on FF11 by way of doing stuff. like BCNMs.. damn him.
