Apathy! Apathy! A-P-A-T-... never mind

so, today i ate a chicken sandwich. go me.

anyway, nothing much happened TODAY per se, probably at least PARTLY because i only got out of bed at five in the afternoon... but yeah. my visiting relatives went back to ireland today, but we're going over in a week (ish) so we'll see them soon.

yesterday i went swimming, so i'm not JUST lazing around on my ass like the lazy ass i am.

so yeah. woo. APATHY ROCKS!

July 29, 2005

Yes, well, you would say that

this is probably gonna be quite a long blog, quite a bit of ground to cover. well, on wednesday a little while after i was complaining about expensive buses, my older sister randomly suggested that she, me and my cousin visiting from ireland should play monopoly. not just your bog-standard monopoly either, but SIMPSONS monopoly. i was the doughnut. we played three games of monopoly on wednesday night.. and one monopoly game takes ages... to put it another way, we stopped playing monopoly at 7:00 on thursday morning, having each won a game...

we were woken up, rather annoyed as you might imagine, at 12:15, and were asked if we wanted to go see madagascar. my older sis had already been to see it, and said it was "funny as fuck" or somthing along those lines, so we were off... i for one was as tired as hell, but it was actually a pretty funny movie.. "faster, you naughty little monkey!" despite the fact i didn't get any sugary popcorn (sugary popcorn ROCKS) which is usually a big part of going to see a movie (obviously)

on a side note, i need to get a job as i have no money, but am too lazy. bah

so, we got out from the cinema, and our lift home was nowhere in sight, so we had to wait around for aages, practically falling asleep. when we DID get home, i got on the computer and was all prepared to check comics etc, blog, then go to bed. however, mid-checking i was dragged off to play MORE monopoly. i can't really remember how long we were playing for or who one how many games or whatever that time, but meh.

so then, at around 8ish we devised a master plan, to get some DVDs from the rental shop place type thing (hush, you pedants) and a bit of booze (woo!) and then let things progress from there. so my sister, my cousin and I set off towards the off licence. my sister got some cider (i would've preferred somthing else, but i wasn't paying for it) and headed home to store it in her room and go talk to one of her friends or somthing. me and my cousin went off on a major quest for the video store, which i only had a vauge idea of where it was. we got there _eventually_ and i shall probably not now forget how to get there.

well, we looked around the video store, and eventually picked two movies, hero, and some stupid but possibly funny thing, or so we thought. when we got home we realised we'd been given hero and hide and seek, but basically just went meh, and then moved the PS2 into my sisters room, locked the door, opened some cider, and put on Hero. it was a bit crappy to be honest, flying chinese people, paper thin swords, people being SURPRISED when said swords were bent when hit with a pole... bad dubbing, it would have looked less stupid to have subtitles and the orignal chinese voicing.. we sorta gave up watching eventually and just left it on in the background.. and.. started playing monopoly AGAIN.

after so much monopoly, we decided we were bored, so the monopoly was packed away, more cider was taken and mixed with orange squash, (another side note, while cider probably wouldn't make my top 100 drinks list, it was better than [read as "not as bad as"] whatever beers i've had the misfortune to taste. it was made even less bad by the addition of orange squash, but still wasn't somthing i'd really choose to drink.

and THEN we watched hide and seek. which was better than hero, despite the fact i usually don't like scary movies (not that it was at all scary...) it was ok, unless the cider was altering my judgement.. i didn't drink that much, anyway. well, after hide and seek it was about 3, and i was *still* tired, so i decided to hit the sack, and i fell asleep pretty quickly. i got out of bed TODAY at 6 (pm) and had breakfast, lunch, and dinner in quick succession, and then the 'rents and aunt + uncle went off out for food and alcohols, leaving me in charge of the kids.. my 2 siblings, and 3 cousins.. so i did the only sensible thing, and delegated.

took out my bike, and headed off for tescos. my body seems to be missing karate as much as my mind, for it was rather exhausting to get there and back, let me tell you, so i might have to go off on a few of my dehydrating bike rides before we bugger off to ireland, although swimming around in the sea every other day down at blackwater beach will probably help too, so i'll just hope for good weather.

well anyway, thats my blog caught up with, and it does look like rather a long one to me, so i'm going to go..

have fun, kids!

Holy crap! Pirates!

doo doo doo.. well. first of all, that nimrod update. 'tis pretty good, "King for a day" made me laugh out loud as i was walking along earlier.. and some of the other songs are pretty good, but none that stick in my mind so far, at any rate...

bowling was ok, i guess. annoying that i had 2+ hours of traveling both ways.. well... annoying is sort of a light word, but still. man, is it expensive to get a bus to milton keynes from aylesbury. £5.10 for a return ticket. next time i have to go anywhere by bus i'ma do what jonny did, and get one of those explorer thingies for 3.50

Drunk enough to dance

so, i'm being a good boy and updating due to a rant about lazy bloggers made by a self proclaimed lazy blogger. despite the fact that i have little or nothing to talk about. discovered today that the father slyly went and bought nimrod a while ago without actually telling me, so i have another Green Day album to listen to, and am doing so. it's only on track 6 ATM, so it's crappyness/amazingness will have to be mentioned at another date. since its the one with good riddance (time of your life) on, it'll PROBABLY be amazingness, but i make no promises.

*wanders off*

¬_¬

yesterday/today was our last karate lesson, and we were doing kumite (sparring or freestyle or whatever to you foreign devils) and i was worried for a bit, cos i was partnered with simon. now i don't know about you, but being in a position where simon was allowed to hit me doesn't seem the best idea ever... like that time he did that double punch, which i think hit my should and my chest.. but meh. the points stuff in kumite is weird.. i won against simon anyway. at least once. dunno about the first time... i was partnered with ellis too, but he won..

well

what else

not much, really

i'm going to go to bed now, it's 02:57

rum tum diddly

and a splat! or whatever. had karate, simon and ellis graded, so they (and me) are now 7th Kyu (or blue belts). jonny has sneakily re-opened the forum, and, not in fact told anyone... i'll add a link in the sidebar later, but if anyone wants to take a gander it's www.illuminati-forum.tk

:o

well. yeah. saturday morning, had karate as usual, started learning the blue belt kata.. and after it, went to tescos then town with alex and simon, so me and simon could meet up with tom, jonny and sami (to see war of the worlds for toms birthday celebration) and so alex could meet up with his mum in town.

war of the worlds was.. interesting. i reckon batman begins was better, but the special effects were pretty good. it was a bit stupid how the aliens lost in the end though...

then we went back to toms, to eat, and do stuff. mainly the stuff eventually turned out to be losing shuttlecocks and hitting things in general all over the place, but there was a lot of arguing, mainly with simon, who argues from the most obscure point of view (he says the sky is down, for one...)

got back from toms around.. half ten, or somthing. i was pleasantly surprised to be handed a copy of the sixth harry potter book, as i wasn't expecting to get one for at least a week.

guess what *I* was up all night doing?

yup. i've now read harry potter and the half blood prince, and it was great. i don't want to say too much incase i give things away to those who haven't read it and want to, but it was good, and i was surprised, and.. just read it!

it's about 600 pages in length, and took me.. about 8 hours to read from my judgement, as i started around 11:30 and finished at 7:42 this morning.

Batman is ten ninjas

yesterday, i went to see Batman Begins, and it was quite good too.. there were ninjas and swords and explosions and fighting and and and and! yeah. only thing about yesterday was my internet was down for the whole day, AND i got up early (for me, anyway) so i had nothing to do until the movie and after it...
apparantly, we're having our broadband updated soonish too, from the current 500ish KB to a whopping TWO MB, like, quadrupling the speed! that should be fun.

and then today, i had karate and did my grading, and passed! i can now get a "shiny" blue belt to replace my orange one.

oh, and there were police raids in aylesbury last night in connection with the london bombings, although last i heard there were no arrests made.

anyway. um. well. yeah

July 11, 2005

ow

my foot hurts! like, really, ow. i sort of broke it off simons leg at karate, and ow. it still hurts after like 4 hours... and now i have an icepack on it... we're supposedly grading on thursday, my foot best be better by then or i'm fuxx0red.

aanyhoo, on sunday i got some money by helping to paint the new undercoat in my parents room, rather boring, but at least there was music... and i had an argument with my dad about the subject/meaning behind "give me novacaine" by Green day, and my dad played "She F**king hates me" at least four times...

July 09, 2005

mixing coke and kick doesn't taste as good as i remember

it must be the lack of vodka. anyway, yeah. there was karate, and then MORE karate due to the display at the fete. and ellis and simon kept poking me... bah.. but it was ok anyhoo. what else... *shrug*

July 07, 2005

truth, justice, reasonably priced love, and a hard boiled egg

more Stuff has happened (sort of) yesterday, we got the 2012 olympics, so woo or whatever but then today there were terrorist attacks. not good. my own mother was rather worried that my dad could have been.. affected.. by the bombings, but it turned out he was ok, unlike some others, who have been injured and even killed. things like that make you think, all those people are peopls sons, or daughters, or husbands or wives or fathers or mothers, or siblings... and for what? all it does is make people angry, but they get angry at the attackers, so really, how can they see any sort of point to it...?

ugh

anyway. in stuff slightly closer to home, karate happened. david graded up to.. brown belt tag or somthing, but yeah. us orange belts didn't get to grade yet, we're grading on monday or thursday i think...

what else... oh, i downloaded firefox, it doesn't seem that different to IE, so meh.

buh bye for now then.. oh! lets see if this works first... {damn image thing not working...}

July 05, 2005

So what? I did it, I admit it

wheeeeeeeeee splat.

anyway. since saturday, I guess Things have sort of happened. I guess. on monday, i got up at like half one for karate, did the things around for a bit, before eventually.. going to karate. so that happened. and neil graded to another level of brown belt. and was pulled in front of everyone to be pointed and laughed at, or, congratulated, i forget which.

after that.. today even, got up at the god awful early ass time of about half seven, to go in to school and help with the karate display for the years six induction day. so there was lots of karate, and my poor arms have been permanantly... bruised.. by simon. alex's brother freddy AKA little Bayntun-Lees was around for some reason, alex had to look after him or some such craziness.

uh.. dave was practically asleep the whole day, alex had tonfas, and simon and ellis went around scaring the year sixes saying things such as "karate!" at them and.. poking them with sticks

sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

July 02, 2005

yaaaay

with random terms, wikipedia can be.. interesting

In medicine and psychology, an idiot is a person with a very severe mental retardation or a very low IQ level. Idiots were defined as people whose IQ were below 20 (with a standard deviation of 16). In the current classification, these people are now said to have profound mental retardation. The word is no longer used as a scientific term.

and apparantly, the term moron is "applied to people with an IQ of 51-70"
and the term imbecile is someone between a moron and an idiot, of about 20 to 50.

so
