Chilly Heat
Again, there is a large gap between posts; smaller than a month by a week or so this time, but probably a bigger gap considering things that happened. it's going to have to be bullet points again, as I'm sort of tired at the moment. If i get round to updating more regularly then we'll get proper length rant blog things.
- last week of school. Bulldog, rain, and similar.
- the last day was a little odd. I missed a lot of it, thanks to getting a haircut around the middle of the day, lessons at the start, and the japanese exam in the afternoon.
- bit of messing around at teh daves while we got ready for prom. we gave him an inflatable pirate ship for his birthday!
- prom was entertaining enough, with everyone all scrubbed to shinyness and crammed into formal wear. there was alcohol, which is always good, and we moshed to Smells Like Teen Spirit for all of 30 seconds before they turned it off since we were being too violent. fun.
- me and ellis skipped the afterparty since the queue was massive, and because all the other drinking establishments were closed we went to munch on some tesco foods before we headed back to daves
- most people were shattered after the nights events, so only a few of us played a half arsed ring of fire game which was still quite entertaining - jeff was pissed off his head.
- Me, Ellis, Ollie, Haywood (and for a short time, Theo) decided, since we had a large variety of spirits and a monopoly board, to invent and/or play Alcohololopoly (the spelling/pronunciation varies depending who you ask), and it got Haywood completely wasted, which was amusing. Everyone except me had two absinthe shots, and the pirate ship was comandeered as a sleeping vessel. Many people were drawn on, which was a source of some mirth.
- the weekend was spent recovering for leddys on monday, parts of which are blurry, but there was absinthe, micky finns, vodka, strip poker (I didn't play. There are some pictures though. of alan, ellis and dave, anyway) attempts at both alcohololopoly and ring of fire, more drinking, a trampoline, maybe some more drinking, and eventually some sleep.
- after managing to survive the night without any call to throw up, I threw up in daves car on the way home. It was not pleasant.
- the rest of the week was spent working in the Yeoman kitchen, my new job-place. The work isn't too bad and the pay will be shiny, when payday eventually does roll around.
- my new job did mean i was a little late for Reel Big Fish (to the annoyance of everyone else, who was waiting for me outside) which was pretty awesome. We caught the end of Beat Unions set, which wasn't particularly exciting, and managed to not miss Army Of Freshmen this time around, who were also pretty good (the singer stage[well, speaker] dived!) Reel Big Fish themselves were _awesome_ again, and I got a shiny T-Shirt (I owe people money now, as i'm not being payed for a while :s)
- one or two of us headed back to ellis' afterwards for some drinking, but it was very subdued and we had next to no mixers. ellis went to sleep, and no one got too drunk.
- I had to get up the next morning to go to portugal with the family, and we spent the past week there. The weather was good, the vodka to coke ratio was 1:1 in bigish glasses, and it was kind of relaxing overall, if not terribly exciting. The relaxing effect of the week was completely cancelled out by the traveling today; we had to get UP at SIX. Ergh.
So thats the two weeks in short form (although its actually quite long) and i might have missed something. Anyway, I'm tired so I'm going to go to bed soon. Blargh.
