Beautiful rival

So, how are things with you? Ellis broke my foot earlier at karate. by way of me kicking him. my foot probably isn't actually broken, but it does still hurt to stand on it. besides that, not much else has happened. 'tis the easter holidays now though, so it's all good. except for the bad stuff.

you may notice, if you look to the left, that i have added a last.fm recent tracks chart-thing. the only reason i stopped using audioscrobbler way back when that happened, was because it meant listening to music on the PC, and as i have mentioned, my old PC had sucky sound quality due to broken speakers or something. with the new PC, i've reset my stats and reactivated the plugin things. so you can now see the last ten tracks i've listened to. joy for you.

being bored, i started looking at the origins of names on wikipedia. mine was relatively boring, there was no etymology on the Rory(name) page. however, the next one i checked was 'matthew' and expecting something boringly biblical, i was not proved wrong, and much to my dismay it said 'Matthew means "gift of the LORD; gift of the god Yahu".'

however, further down the page.. i found a little gem i just had to share with our own "gift of the lord" here's a quote..

"A recent study by the University of California showed that males named Matt tend to have a smaller than average penis. The inadequacies this creates is often credited as being the cause for the abnormally high homosexuality amongst Matts."

rofl is all i have to say on that matter. rofl indeed. matt now hates the university of california. wonder why.

all of the names alex, jonny, tom and david didn't have very interesting origins. but i had to laugh at the irony of the meaning of the name richard. it's supposed to mean 'strong, brave leader' or similar. compare this with gillis. heh heh
