Mmm.. Metronome

My sleeping has been screwed up the past few days (more so than usual) To such an extent that, at 7 AM sunday morning (having not slept since late saturday) I felt energetic enough to go for a walk. for three hours. around aylesbury.

it was largely uneventful, as most of the sane people are asleep, and as we all know, the insane people are a minority.

no, really.

so after that random occurance of.. walking.. (I'm only marginally sure it actually happened, it's entirely possible I hallucinated the whole experience) I strolled in the back gate, and after a brief conversation with a slightly bemused father who was standing in the garden, it transpired that my absence at such an obscene hour had been noted, but not deemed important. He seemed to think I'd been gallavanting about, and not merely on an innocent insomnia fueled walk.

And then today, for some bizarre reason, I woke up at roughly half four. in the morning. Now, based on my past week, one might find this surprising, since i don't think i'd gone to sleep before half four in the morning at any time over half term. but i was asleep sunday night, and as a result, awake at an ungodly hour of the morning, bright eyed and bushy tailed (minus the tail. and the eyes.) ready to tackle the 'mandatory' computing revision session. which was due to go on for four hours.

worryingly, what eventually turned out to only be a three hour session, was far more enjoyable than it should have been, and extremely more entertaining than the History revision session, which was half the length, and had free food. it wasn't so much the revision that was entertaining, as the serious note taking(read:doodling), and the fact that dave was complaining next to me about sitting through the same revision session twice.

on an unrelated note, you can listen to all of Head Automatica's new album (out tomorrow) on their Myspace page.
there are some good songs on it, but I don't know if i'll bother buying it. none of the songs live up to "the razor" or "beating heart baby" from their first album, but nevertheless it is worth a listen. or twelve
